Barefoot Boxing on a Castaway Island
Castaway Island, Fiji has launched Barefoot Boxing on the Beach – a new guest activity using ShadowBoxer® exercise equipment. The resort is the first in the world to implement the equipment. It has been introduced as a gym substitute to offer island guests another way of keeping fit while on holiday.
The resort island’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Karen Marvell, says Barefoot Boxing using ShadowBoxer® perfectly complements the huge array of water sports and beach activities on the island.
“We weren’t keen to build a flashy city-style gym. It simply didn’t fit our philosophy or our pristine island environment. So we found ShadowBoxer® and can now hold fun exercise classes anywhere on the island’s beach or 174 acres. Guests are loving it!” said Karen.
ShadowBoxer® equipment enables guests to be gloveless, shoeless and free to exercise in fresh ocean air. It harnesses the power of body resistance that is magnified through unique resistance bands. Workouts are quick, fun and easy.
Ms. Marvell says that sunset is becoming a popular time for Barefoot Boxing classes. Guests are also able to use the equipment on their own.
