Anamaya Resort and Retreat center opened its doors almost 2 years ago and has evolved into one of the hottest retreat centers in Costa Rica. They host a number of retreats focused on health and wellness, including the Flirty Girl Pole-Dancing and Yoga Retreat. The retreat includes yoga sessions and pole-dancing lessons every day. Beginners to either pole-dancing or to yoga are welcome, as are students with some experience. The retreat leader Melissa Jane Shaw caters her teaching style to suit the needs of every student. Also included in the price of this retreat are chair dancing classes, a burlesque lesson, and choreography instruction for the latest music videos. One more perk to this 7-day fitness retreat is that all students will receive their Booty Beat Instructor Certification. Booty Beat is a cardio dance program that is a ton of fun, and certified students will be able to teach it themselves after this retreat. The Flirty Girl retreat takes place from November 5 – 12, 2011 and there are currently 4 spaces still available. Anamaya Yoga Retreat Center is very excited about this hip retreat and is in the process of building the pole-dancing structures for the students. They hope to host more pole-dancing retreats in the future.

The number of unique retreats that are offered at Anamaya make them a real trailblazer in the tourism and hospitality industry. They offer a number of different yoga retreats with retreat leaders from all over the world coming to host their own programs. For example they have a woman that goes by the name Rivital hosting a Yoga and Indian Dance Retreat from October 29 – November 5, 2011. Not only will this retreat include yoga but students will have Temple Goddess Workouts and learn Odissi. Odissi is a traditional Indian dance that is very fluid and graceful, and works the entire body. One of Anamaya’s most popular retreats is their Soul Surfer Yoga Retreat. This retreat combines the art of surfing with the art of yoga to create a retreat full of adventure and one of the best ways to experience Costa Rica. Their surf retreat includes accommodations for the week, 3 organic healthy meals a day, yoga and surfing lessons, and more. Beginners are welcome and they have a Bring-A-Friend discount offer as well so you can experience a week in paradise with a buddy.

Travelers who are looking for a rewarding experience and a cost effective way to travel are choosing wellness retreat packages. The economy may be in a state of uncertainty but now more than ever is the time to get-away from the stresses of life and find some balance. A vacation in itself improves overall well-being and so by taking advantage of a cost effective health retreat, the benefits are boundless. Anamaya also offers Yoga Teacher Trainings at their resort – it seems as though they have something for everyone and the fact that they are nestled between stunning beaches and an impressive rainforest makes it even more appealing.
