Still holding out expecting to see cheaper airfares this year? then you may be in for a very big surprise. Most people say that if you hold out until the end of the year you should be able to get cheap flights and accommodation. However due to the economic down turn that hasn’t really been the case, we have been told that prices will be going up because the travel industry suffered huge losses in 2010,and need to recover.

The good news for travellers is that apparently we are in what’s called a roller-coaster crises. So instead of prices going up they have in fact started to drop, this includes air flights and accommodation the only area that is seeing a price increase is car hire.

So when looking for holidays search around because you will find bargains and this even includes Caribbean Cruises. One other area of the world that is also worth looking at is South East Asia specifically Thailand. Since the troubles, Thailand has made great efforts to get back on track and there are some terrific deals to be had.

Normally prices are quite high in December and early January, however, the word is that this year will be the exception so keep a close eye on that part of the world. Its also worth noting that this is the best time to travel to Thailand as its known as the cool season the temperatures are only in the range of 20c – 32c !
